ANBI
An ANBI is an institution aimed at public benefit. An institution can only be an ANBI if it is at least 90% committed to public benefit. To be designated as an ANBI, an institution must meet a number of conditions set by the Tax Authorities.
The Shri Sanatan Dharm Amsterdam Foundation (the foundation that manages the Radha Krishna Mandir) has registered as an ANBI with the tax authorities. This brings certain benefits and obligations.
Advantages
Having an ANBI status brings certain advantages for both the institution and the donors and volunteers.
Do you ever give money (donation) or goods to a charity or institution? Or do you do volunteer work, but are you not reimbursed for your costs? Or do you not need any compensation? Then you make a donation. You may be able to claim a deduction for this in your income tax return. Whether you may deduct a donation depends on the institution to which you make the donation and how you make the donation. For more information about this, please refer to the websitetax authorities.

To be eligible for the deduction of periodic donations, the donor and the ANBI must:record the gift in an agreement.
