1 Introduction

1.1. These general terms and conditions ("Terms") apply to all language lessons and language-related services ("Services") provided by teachers, hereinafter referred to as "the Teacher," appointed by the Shri Sanatan Dharm Amsterdam Foundation, hereinafter referred to as "the Foundation,” to the student, hereinafter referred to as “the Student” or “you.” By using our Services you agree to these Terms.

2. Lessons and Objectives   

2.1 The teacher will offer language lessons to the student in accordance with the agreed lesson plan and objectives. 

2.2 The student undertakes to actively participate in classes, complete homework assignments and make the necessary efforts to improve language skills.

2.3 The foundation is responsible for organizing the lessons, arranging good teachers and collecting the tuition fees. The organization of the lessons will be taken care of by the secretariat and the collection of tuition fees will be administered by the treasurer.

3. Lessons and Rates

3.1. ​The rates for the lessons are agreed in advance between the foundation and the student.

3.2. The Student will pay the agreed rates per quarter for the lessons delivered. Rates can be determined based on an hourly rate or other agreed structure.

3.3. Payments must be made in the manner specified by the Foundation. The Student agrees to the payment terms as agreed upon at the start of the lessons.

3.4 Payments can be made in cash, via bank transfer or another agreed payment method.

3.5 In the event of late payment, the teacher reserves the right to refuse the Student to participate in the lessons.

4. Cancellation and Rescheduling of Lessons

4.1. The Student must notify the Teacher in advance of any cancellation. In case of absence regardless of the reason, the tuition fee will not be refunded.

4.2. The Teacher reserves the right to cancel or reschedule lessons with prior notice to the Student. In such cases the Teacher will attempt to arrange a suitable alternative teaching appointment or a substitute teacher.

5. Obligations of the Student

5.1. The Student must appear regularly and on time for the scheduled lessons.

5.2. The Student must be prepared for classes and complete any assigned homework assignments.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1. Teaching materials and course content provided by the Teacher remain the intellectual property of the Teacher and may not be copied, distributed or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission.

7. Liability

7.1. The Teacher will make reasonable efforts to provide effective language lessons, but cannot guarantee the achievement of specific results.

7.2. The Teacher and the Foundation are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from the use of the Services.

8.Privacy

8.1. The Teacher will treat the Student's personal information confidentially and will only use this information for the purpose of providing the Services.

9. Termination of Services   

9.1. Both the teacher and the student have the right to end the language lessons at any time. Prepaid tuition fees will be refunded accordingly.

9.2 In the event of repeated misconduct or insufficient payment, the teacher can unilaterally terminate the lessons.

10. Changes to the Terms

10.1. The Foundation reserves the right to change these Terms at any time with prior notice to the Student.

11. Applicable Law

11.1. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with current law. Any disputes will be submitted to the competent courts.
